The Zap Gun is the 25th and second-last permanent weapon in the shop.

Strategy[]

Entering the roster nearing the final weapon, it comes in rather underwhelming, especially for those unaware of its novelty effect, which is, the user gets good damage, amazing range, accuracy, energy supply, rate of fire, and decent agility and reload speed; all at the cost of its auto-aim being disabled. Because of this, players can - on one hand - aim for the head more easily, but on the other, are forced to gain a greater sense of this weapon. Just facing a well rounded speed build can badly hurt the user.

Not very obvious at first glance, but this Assault Weapons accuracy, while technically true - its beam becomes less stable the further it has to travel; making it land neatly in a Run And Gun. Be sure to preform strafing maneuvers to better realign the gun on a competitive target, as well as making it harder for them to hit you in close encounters, and if possible, try a Circle around when needed. If the enemy knows the handlers skill firsthand, then the power of Shotguns, Launchers, and Heavy Weapons is heightened.

Trivia[]

  • Rather than swap energy cells, this gun has the holder hit it several times (4) to reload.
  • It received an image change during the Ghostbusters Update.
  • This and the Proton Gun are both weapons commonly used to have fun or celebrate.
  • For a time, players used to apply a glitch, which was: whilst firing the gun, continuously press reload, eventually the end result will be an invisible beam; however pressing the reload button again after its applied will end the glitch.
    • During the Ghostbusters 30th Ann. Update this glitch was fixed.
    • However there is an interesting sfx multiplier glitch, upon depleting the weapons energy, which when spamming reload and still firing continues the firing sfx from the previous cell, onto the next; it can only be stacked twice.
  • After the Easter Egg Hunt 2 Update this weapon gained the Skill-Reducing Effect.
  • During the BlackBird Vs. AtomDrome Update, it was given away at a level one requirement.
