The Stake Launcher is a Launcher added during the first Halloween Update, it was 15,000 ; being raised to its now permanent price only a day[1] later.
Strategy[]
Although not as devastating with double the pleasure, this Launcher is a one of a kind weapon, that lay the groundwork for other mobility-reducing ammunition. It comes with good damage - great range, and decent agility, accuracy, rate of fire, and reload speed - all at the cost of its clip size and projectiles; which are slow moving. While its effect is great, it will only better hinder a moderately built enemy from neutralizing the user; especially in close proximity.
Speaking of distance, this Impaler is best used in Run And Gun, where its accuracy and projectiles can have their miss chance greatly reduced while the user learns to strafe nearby enemies; grinding them to a near halt and finishing them off and moving on to new threats. Against competitive foes, this gun can be outsourced by Shotguns, Heavy Weapons, and Water Weapons.

Trivia[]
- When reloading, players can catch a small visual glitch, at just 600 milliseconds there appears to be a "leftover" stake in the exit chamber, but as the first second eclipses it disappears as the next clip is inserted.
- This gun has the most price adjustments in a single currency in its lifetime; as for its release on day two, and during the Second Last Update, it would sell for 85,000 ; but during its first day of debuting - just 15,000 ; then in November, during a "Halloween Sale", for 42,500 .
- To add to that, during the mentioned Update, it would be obtainable at only level one.
- Whenever the projectiles register onto an enemy they remain on that area of contact for three seconds until disappearing with a pixy dust-like effect.
- According to the legends, a wooden stake (and such devices in general) were used initially to pin Vampires down, making them immobile for a limited time (as its does here/in-game).
- However as the lore and legends of these monsters further developed, driving this instrument into a Vampire could kill them, as long as the stake was long enough to pierce its heart.
- The use of silver stakes is a debatable topic, as not much is known, besides recent inspection that such coating, or pure designs, made them stronger, more durable, and quicker to kill/pierce.
- The gun (like the Dual Stake Launchers) do not animate the clips depletion whenever a stake exits the weapon.
