The Rail Gun is an Energy-based Rifle added in the Ultimate Soldier Update as the 'Ultimate Prize', during the Ultimate Soldier; then given to the Soul Hunter Pack, during the Ghostbusters' 35th Ann. Update.
Strategy[]
Differentiating from the small pool of Snipers, this one maintains their qualms and quarries, however alleviating the necessity of scoping in, along with an enhanced auto-aim in-scope. Railing out its greats are the damage, range, and accuracy - the negatives include reload speed, rate of fire, and agility. Perhaps able to handle a single moderate build, but as more begin to pile up, the harder it is to defend.
In spite of its mobility being quite low, handlers can still Run And Gun as its auto-aim is at its best, but be sure to plant before every shot, as if continuing movement while firing, its accuracy is greatly diminished. Counter this problem by Camping, however, taking use of its scope more often to down enemies at a distance; notably as well, both strategies can be less dangerous with its Active Skill, which acts like a Spotter until the player fires a round. Menaces that may derail this gun are Shotguns, Water Weapons, and Launchers.
