The Automatic Grenade Launcher is a Launcher gained as a final prize for the Grenade Fest 3, during the Update.

Strategy[]

Getting stranger with each installment, this Grenade lobber works in a field all on its own, rather than shoot projectiles with a minor dip and bounce, it does quite the opposite, making it a very skill-oriented weapon to mess with, as the bombs that exit deal 2-shot damage if enemies reach its core explosion, along with a decent rate of fire, massive magazine, and swift reload speed; all that with no auto-aim. Moderate builds and light defense can hinder this weapon quite easily, even within its target vicinity.

Make sure shots that are made exit onto the ground - under the opponents feet, rather than at the moment of a red crosshair, as this Launchers splash and bounce can work against the user, especially in tight areas. Covering that, then Camping is the best take, as though it has awkward accuracy, it can be used to create an explosive barrier in one-way entrances and exits. Users cannot afford ending the blasts against Shotguns, Dual Weapons, and Heavy Weapons.

Trivia[]

PEO XM25 CDTES

The XM-25 CDTE in real life.

  • It is based on the Heckler & Koch XM-25 CDTE, an airburst grenade launcher that originated from the XM29 OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon) for the Objective Individual Combat Weapon program for the United States Army. The OICW program was canceled and the weapon was split into two different weapons: the XM-25 CDTE, and the XM8 "assault rifle".
    • This model appears to have what is basically an oversized 30-round 5.56x45mm STANAG magazine, however, the XM-25 in real life is incapable of firing 5.56x45mm cartridges and will only feed 25x40mm HE (high explosive) airburst grenades.
  • It uses the same firing sound file from the Dual Machine Guns.
  • Grenades that linger from this weapon are the smallest of all, roughly 2x smaller than a normal Grenade.
  • Arguably, this is one of the most difficult weapons to master, as its projectiles are unpredictable on the bases that they bounce more than any other explosive, dip greatly, and a splash radius that is not alike from its in-game radius, which is almost 2m - in order to get the most out of the splash damage.
    • Despite that, it would resurface in Cyber Tarantula 1 & 2; becoming the best for use, as players could just unload mags onto surfaces while running, getting rid of the bots quickly and painlessly; gaining 70% protection against damage whenever in-scope.
  • This is one of few event weapons to not have been sold standalone in any event!
